About us: The outer western region of our service includes extremely remote communities. Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait.
About your role:
Demonstrate advanced clinical care and knowledge to ensure appropriateness of referrals through varied intake sources.
Conduct comprehensive assessment at time of initial contact by applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills in the provision of complex care.
Triage and escalate care through urgent and non-urgent pathways to achieve best practice outcomes.
