We are looking for a Development Manager to join our team based in Melbourne. This is a diverse role which will see you working predominately on the Gurrowa Place (Queen Victoria Market) Development. Gurrowa Place encompasses three responsively designed buildings that will form a mixed-use precinct offering a diverse range of high-quality housing, including amenity-rich build-to-rent apartments, affordable housing, heritage building restoration, 1.8 hectares of new public open space and purpose-built student accommodation (by Scape).

As Development Manager your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the preparation and management of development briefs and programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of a high-quality product.

• Preparation and administration of legal documentation, including Development Agreements, Investor agreements, consultant agreements, and construction contracts.

• Management of stakeholder relationships, including landowners, investors, consultants, and contractors, to ensure alignment with project objectives.

• Monitoring the project feasibility, identifying risks and opportunities and developing strategies to pursue and manage these respectively

• Providing regular commercial and project reporting, including program updates, internal reporting, and cost analysis.

• Driving planning approvals, design development, and construction phases to meet quality and compliance standards.

About You:

We are looking for a collaborative individual who has a background in Development Management, ideally residential. You will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, Project / Construction Management, Design, Engineering, or another relevant field, combined with Development Management experience

• Strong commercial acumen

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail, ability to learn quickly and work with complexity
