As a Manager Capability Development, you will be part of the Business & Private Banking (B&PB) Enablement team, that's doubling down on customer obsession.

Each day, you'll go above and beyond to:

  • Lead the design and development of effective learning, capability and knowledge management outputs.
  • Lead a team of specialists including Instructional Designers, Technical Writers and Content Designers to design and develop engaging, impactful and measurable learning and capability experiences for B&PB colleagues.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and applies instructional design and adult learning principles to build multi-channel content that supports both our everyday business and transformation ambitions.
  • Lead the identification, implementation and adoption of best-in-class learning and capability practices, frameworks and tools to achieve B&PB priority outcomes.
  • Ensure learning experiences and content used to support B&PB colleagues is consistent, cohesive, high quality, and undertakes activity to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the effective governance of learning, capability and knowledge content through the design and operation of frameworks, controls and monitoring.
  • Partner with business leaders, capability peers and SMEs to understand the future pipeline of B&PB learning requirements and the resources required for design, development and/or delivery. Understand and apply appropriate learning technologies leveraging external learning and global best practice.

We're looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You'll need:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar Instructional / Learning Designer for a large-scale complex organisation preferably within Financial Services.
  • Exceptional experience, knowledge and understanding of technical writing practices.
  • Proven capability and understanding of Learning Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing multi-channel learning content and exceptional knowledge and understanding of contemporary (adult) learning principles, learning delivery methodologies, and learning technologies/learning software.
  • Proven understanding of banking, core concepts and targeted outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead stakeholders on the identification of desired learning outcomes and experience in consultation and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Extensive experience in managing teams to achieve identified objectives coupled with experience in leading continuous improvement activities.
  • Proven continuous improvement mindset with curiosity to explore new tools and capabilities.
