About the role

Granny Flats WA is seeking an experienced Building Supervisor to join our dynamic team based in Booragoon, Western Australia. As a full-time Building Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction and development of our high-quality granny flats and other residential projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating and supervising the work of construction teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
  • Monitoring project progress, managing resources, and addressing any issues or challenges that arise
  • Ensuring compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Communicating regularly with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns
  • Assisting in the planning and scheduling of construction activities
  • Providing hands-on guidance and mentorship to construction workers
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to the project

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Building Supervisor or in a similar construction management role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software
