Estimating Administrator

Stoddart Group are a leading supplier and installer of products to the residential building industry. A leader in what we do, Stoddart are the often unseen but ever-present backbone of the construction of a new home. This role is part of our National Estimating and Procurement (NEP) team and works closely with our amazing builders and internal stakeholders to ensure we're an efficient and valuable part of their build.

Stoddart Group has an exciting new opportunity for an Estimating Administrator to join our team. The National Estimating and Purchasing department is a high-volume function within the business, with a big focus on attention to detail and customer service. Based at our Head Office in Darra, QLD, we are seeking someone who shows initiative, strives for excellence, acts in a professional manner and wants to excel their career as an Estimating Administrator. This role will be required to support the National Estimating and Purchasing team administratively and comprehensively and ongoing training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Duties of the role include:

• Accurately enter information and documentation for quote requests, revisions and conversions, purchase orders and extra orders.
• Confidently read and interpret construction plans and job specifications
• Understand and apply construction terminology.
• Identify missing or conflicting construction information within the documentation received by the customer.
• Confidently and effectively provide a high level of customer service including following up the customer and Account Managers to discuss and resolve issues.
• Read, interpret and understand purchase order contracts and values, with the ability to identify discrepancies and manage the follow up process.
• Raise and manage extra orders; follow up outstanding extra order requests with a methodical and conscientious approach to deadlines.
• Maintain and update document control of job files
• Work simultaneously across multiple systems and communication channels
• Contribute in a high-functioning, fast-paced team environment with flexibility and initiative.
• Interpret and manage incoming emails and calls, by prioritising based on business requirements
• Ad hoc administrative duties.

Ideal candidate attributes:

• 1-2 years' experience in a high-volume administration role within the construction industry or similar, highly regarded
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to a variety of stakeholders
• A team player; uses initiative to assist other team members
• Independent learner with a willingness to seek out information with a positive approach to work
• Demonstrates initiative and a proactive problem-solving mindset
• Maintains a high level of ownership of tasks and outcomes
• High attention to detail & excellent time management skills
• Reliable, effective and efficient in their work
