Microtech & Service Pty Ltd (ACN , trading as M.S. Mobiles Repair, has been serving the Perth community since 2014. We specialize in the diagnosis, repair, and servicing of mobile phones, tablets, laptops, computers, and small electronic devices.

With two conveniently located stores in Midland Gate and Belmont Forum, we have built a strong reputation for technical excellence, fast turnaround, and exceptional customer service.

Due to business expansion and increasing customer demand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced ICT Support Technician to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults in IT and communication devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
  • Provide front-line technical support and troubleshooting services to individual and small business clients across both Midland Gate and Belmont Forum locations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and device drivers (Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS).
  • Replace and configure faulty hardware components such as screens, batteries, charging ports, and peripheral accessories, ensuring optimal device performance.
  • Conduct system updates, firmware installations, data recovery, and virus removal to restore devices to working condition.
  • Use diagnostic software and technical tools to identify connectivity, performance, or system-related issues.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining computer networks, Wi-Fi routers, and small office IT systems for business clients.
  • Maintain accurate repair records, technical documentation, and inventory control of spare parts and accessories.
  • Provide clear communication and technical advice to customers regarding repair outcomes, device maintenance, and data protection.
  • Follow safety, ESD, and quality control standards throughout all technical operations.
  • Support the training and supervision of junior technicians and interns to ensure consistent service standards and skill transfer within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in repairing and troubleshooting IT and communication devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops.
  • Relevant Diploma or higher qualification in a related field preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve both hardware and software issues.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software and technical tools to test and restore device functionality.
  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS operating systems, including installation and configuration tasks.
  • Basic understanding of network setup, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and connectivity support for small business clients.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, service manuals, and repair procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear and simple terms.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritise multiple repair tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a small technical team.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety, data security, and quality control standards during all technical operations.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends or extended hours when required, with a commitment to full-time employment for a minimum of two years.
