We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Aged Care Support Worker to join our growing team.

About the Role

The Aged Care Support Worker (Personal Care Worker) is responsible for providing person-centred care and assistance to elderly clients in line with their individual care plans. The position supports clients' daily living activities, wellbeing, and independence while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting clients with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene, and mobility support.
  • Supporting with meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry, and ironing, nutrition needs as per care plans.
  • Providing emotional and social support to promote engagement and wellbeing.
  • Assisting with shopping and medical appointments.
  • Supporting clients to participate in community or recreational activities of their choice.
  • Ensuring clients' living environments are clean, safe, and comfortable.
  • Observing and reporting changes in clients' health or behaviour to Registered Nurse.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to privacy and safety standards.
  • Travelling between client homes within your local service area.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
  • At least one year work experience in community or residential aged care.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
  • National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with elderly clients and families.
