Albury NSW, Australia Sure Care Social Support & Aged Care Full time $44,000 - $93,600 per year

We are looking for an experienced, caring and compassionate Disability/ Aged care Support Worker to join our dynamic team.

Successful applicant will be responsible for providing personalised supports to individuals requiring disability or aged care supports, both within their homes and on the community to assist them in their daily living tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting with personal care such as daily hygiene, showering, dressing
  • Complete household chores such as cleaning, laundry and cooking
  • Supporting clients out in the community to do shopping and pay bills
  • Transport clients to medical appointments
  • Provide social supports and assist individuals to engage in social activities
  • Support individuals with high needs and complex behaviours

About you:

Applicants needs to:

  • Have excellent communication skills- verbal and written
  • Hold a current drivers licence, own a reliable vehicle which is fully insured
  • Be available on a casual basis, and at times on-call
  • Be flexible, reliable, honest and well presented
  • Be able to work independently, with integrity and accountability
  • Possess strong problem solving skills
  • Be compassionate, and genuinely interested support work
  • Be energetic and enthusiastic
  • Capable of completing tasks independently and as part of a team

Qualifications & Clearances

Applicants must have:

  • Certificate 3 in Individual support- Disability or Aged Care (or higher)
  • Drivers Licence, Reliable vehicle, Fully Comprehensively Insured
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certifications
  • Current Working With Children Clearance
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
  • NDIS Orientation Module Completion Certificate

Desirable

Applicants must have or be willing to complete the following free online e-learning modules from The National Hand Hygiene Initiative website:

  • Basic Hand Hygiene
  • Basic Infection Prevention and Control

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $34.58 per hour
