As an Area Manager, you will take ownership of a defined collection of units (retail concessions, premium and corporate dining spaces, or tournament operations such as player/media areas). This is a senior role within the AO operations team, requiring strong leadership, operational oversight, and the ability to deliver excellence at scale.

The Position

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of multiple units, ensuring consistent delivery of Levy standards.
  • Act as the key escalation point for Unit Managers and operational leaders within your area.
  • Be accountable for labour management, cost control, and workforce planning across your units.
  • Provide on-the-ground support during operational peaks to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Partner with stakeholders (internal and external) to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Drive consistency and efficiency across all areas under your leadership.
  • Report on performance, identify risks, and proactively implement solutions.
The Person

  • Proven experience managing multiple hospitality outlets, large-scale events, or multi-unit operations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to support, mentor, and empower diverse teams.
  • A commercial mindset with experience in managing budgets, labour, and operational resources.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • A passion for delivering extraordinary experiences at one of the world's biggest events.
