The purpose of this position primarily is to service the needs of BOC owned equipment on customer sites. Customer Engineering Services (CES) services, maintains and installs equipment on customer sites to internal BOC and regulatory standards.

What You Will Enjoy Doing

  • You will ensure a high customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction and explore new opportunities.
  • In addition, work collaboratively with other departments including sales and operations to ensure business targets are met and take corrective actions where required
  • You will conduct preventative maintenance in compliance to BOC and Australian standards while optimising costs and customer service
  • Ensures assets are maintained tracked and stored appropriately, including ensuring availability and correct and timely completion of documentation.
  • Furthermore, ensure plant and equipment is fit for purpose e.g. serviced, guarded, risk assessed including the use of the BOC tagging system.
  • Support the delivery of the cost budget including improvements required during the year and monitor and manage performance against KPIs.

What Makes You Great

  • Working Knowledge of Australian Standards, BOC Codes of Practice and other regulatory codes
  • Experience in gas related or construction industry environment
  • Ability to co-ordinate multiple work order requests, service requests simultaneously prioritising based on safety and customer service.
  • Advanced mechanical skills (Mechanical Fitter or similar skill base).
  • Ability to run pipe work both copper and Stainless Steel to a high industry standard
  • Ability to complete brazed pipe work, weld copper pipe work in various applications.
  • An extensive knowledge of cryogenic operation and associated equipment
  • PSA maintenance (gaseous oxygen and nitrogen generation plants)
  • The ability to work well in a team environment using superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have either an LPG gas fitting or National Restricted Electrical licence would be advantageous but not a necessity
