About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Rooms, as Lounge 32 Manager you will lead a team dedicated to perfecting the experience for our Lounge guests. Your thirst for providing a memorable stay will further enhance the great product offering in our newly renovated lounge. We are looking for a highly motivated leader who is able to successfully communicate to and engage with a wide audience, implement effective systems and standards and balance the demands between being the face of the lounge and behind the scenes activities.

What you will do:

• Demonstrate a strong leadership presence for our guests and employees, as part of our leadership team
• Ensure the smooth daily operation of the Lounge 32 department
• Driving the Guest Experience and providing a real home away from home for our valued guests
• Maintain strong working relationships with all department managers particularly the Kitchen, who you will work closely with day to day for breakfast and evening canapes service
• Ensure a high level of cleanliness and commitment to WHS, working closely with Housekeeping and Engineering in the process.
• Oversee stock control and inventory including sourcing new products, suppliers and keeping up to date with trends

What you bring:

• Proven experience as a leader, preferably within a large hotel that delivers five star quality
• The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels, across all areas, including suppliers, guests and of course our employees
• A passion for providing a great guest experience
• Solid verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with complex software systems in order to manage the department
• Highly developed people and business management skills, including payroll, rostering, cost control, expenses, and P&L's

The base salary for this role is $87k plus superannuation, bonus plan and benefits.
