We Are Fujitsu

We use technology to make happier lives. We are a global leader in technology and business solutions that transform organisations and the world around us. We have a long heritage of bringing innovation and expertise, continuously working to contribute to the growth of society and our customers.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Asset Manager with project management experience for overseeing the planning and delivery of projects across the lifecycle of physical and IT assets. This includes managing more than 44,000 assets across healthcare, research, and aged care environments — ensuring they are accurately tracked, compliant, and contribute to reliable, cost-effective digital services.

Working within the Digital & Technology group and reporting to the Head of EUC and Assets, this role leads a team focused on enhancing IT Asset Management (ITAM) practices aligned with ITIL v4. The position supports enterprise-wide initiatives involving ITSM platform improvements, CMDB accuracy, mobile fleet management, and software licensing compliance, collaborating closely with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Procurement, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Deliver asset-related projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and risk strategies.
  • Coordinate project delivery with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Track progress, manage issues, and report outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all projects and assets comply with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and optimise asset tracking systems and databases.
  • Improve asset lifecycle efficiency, cost transparency, and utilisation.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance the CMDB (Cherwell or similar) for improved visibility, accuracy, and integration

Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in project or asset management.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, procurement, and financial principles.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Asana.
  • Experience working in regulated environments such as healthcare, aged care, or research.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability and configuration management tools (e.g., Tenable, SCCM).
  • Competence in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Power BI or ITSM analytics.
  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems such as IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, or Cherwell.
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 asset management standards.
  • Understanding of sustainability, compliance, and risk management in asset planning

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Compliance with organisational immunisation and health screening policies (including vaccinations for COVID-19 and influenza) may be required for work in healthcare-related environments.
