The Role

As a Site Supervisor in Major Projects, you'll take a hands-on leadership role delivering complex water, wastewater and odour control projects across Queensland. You'll be at the forefront of on-site execution driving safety, quality, productivity and client satisfaction on every project.

Working closely with Project Managers and Construction Managers, you'll coordinate subcontractors, oversee civil and mechanical installation works and ensure all project phases are delivered to Aquatec's high standards. From pump station delivery and mechanical installations to onsite QA and program management, this is a critical position that ensures our projects are built right the first time.

Key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Lead day-to-day supervision of Aquatec crews, subcontractors and electrical/civil/mechanical teams
• Maintain strong, proactive communication with Project Managers, escalating risks early and providing clear site updates
• Manage construction progress in line with approved programs; identify slippages and implement recovery strategies
• Conduct and coordinate daily/weekly lookahead planning based on the master schedule
• Oversee all onsite QA processes, including ITPs, NCRs, hold points and client inspections
• Ensure all works adhere to design specifications, drawings, WHS standards and contractual obligations
• Provide technical guidance during installation phases to prevent rework, defects, and safety risks
• Verify materials delivered to site and ensure alignment with project requirements
  
  Lead toolbox talks, risk assessments and ensure a safe and compliant work environment
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports using Aquatec's project management system
• Collaborate with the PM to optimise labour, equipment and subcontractor resources
• Build strong working relationships with clients, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams

Above all, you take pride in representing Aquatec onsite and ensuring our projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to an exceptional standard.

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential for this position.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• 5+ years' experience in civil and/or mechanical site construction ideally in water, wastewater, or utility infrastructure
• Site Supervisor or Leading Hand experience in pump stations, pipelines, trenching, mechanical installations or similar
• Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working around tools, plant and installation environments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, scopes, specifications and QA documentation
• Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors and trades to meet program and quality targets
• A safety-first mindset with experience running toolbox talks, SWMS reviews and site inspections
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients, engineers, and project teams
• Ability to identify risks early, think ahead and maintain momentum on site
• Experience with ITPs, QA processes and hold-point inspections highly desirable
• Flexibility to work away from home (Monday to Friday) across QLD and occasionally interstate
• Hold a valid White Card as the minimum safety certification requirement for site access
