Role Overview

The Senior Communications Manager is a critical client-facing position within Bastion Reputation, responsible for supporting or managing key client relationships, leading the delivery of high-quality strategic communication services. The role requires a proactive, solutions-focused communicator who can deliver measurable outcomes for clients while supporting the senior Bastion Reputation team members in business development and team performance.

This role is suited for a communications professional with approximately 7–10 years of experience in media, corporate affairs, government relations, or stakeholder engagement. The Client Director will be expected to take initiative, work independently, and uphold Bastion Reputation's high standards in all client and internal work.

  • Contribute to the development of communications strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and issues management frameworks.
  • Help identify reputational risks and recommend communication approaches aligned to client goals.

Client Delivery

  • Act as the day-to-day project lead for client work, overseeing timelines, budgets, and quality control.
  • Maintain strong relationships with client contacts and ensure their satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to provide clear, confident advice and hands-on delivery.

  • Support the senior team members in maintaining a high-performing, positive team environment.
  • Participate in internal knowledge sharing and contribute to team capability development.

  • Ensure quality and consistency in deliverables by applying best practice communication principles.

  • Assist with proposal development and support pitch processes.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities within existing client accounts.
