About the role

Ventia's Project Services is a new centralised function within Ventia's Telecommunications sector that unifies three specialist teams - Process, Systems & Governance; Subcontractor Enablement; and Land Access & Stakeholder Engagement - into a single, cohesive hub

Together, Project Services teams aim to reduce duplication, solidify ways of working, strengthen assurance and let our frontline crews focus on delivering outstanding outcomes for customers and communities.

As part of the new structure the Technical Compliance SME plays a crucial role in onboarding subcontractors including training & skills matrices, SHEQ compliance, Ventia inductions as well as building rapport and maintaining relationships with Asset network owners.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of the skills matrices, internal Ventia compliance system, ensuring that all competencies are accurately documented and maintained.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Asset Network Providers, using technical know-how and clear communication to foster collaboration and provide effective support.
  • Develop and implement new processes and work instructions, where required and recommend improvements in existing processes and work instructions.
  • Overseeing VOC's (Verification of Competency), SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality), and project inductions to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Looking over multiple clients across Australia and New Zealand

About youTo be successful in this role you will come from a similar role ideally with with a background working in the field with an understanding of the technical knowledge behind complex works.

You will also possess:

  • Experience in sub-contractor management and compliance related roles (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of Legislation around compliance and governance
  • Hands-on experience with training, compliance and SHEQ related systems
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry (highly desirable)
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiencies with Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
