Job Description :

Key Responsibilities

  • Routing Policy Management
  • Update and optimize
    route-maps
    ,
    prefix-lists
    , and
    VRF route-leaking
    configurations to enable controlled and segmented connectivity across customer environments.
  • Firewall Route Advertisement
  • Configure
    fine-grained route advertisements
    on firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto VSYS, Fortinet VDOMs, Cisco FTD contexts), ensuring per-customer routing isolation and policy enforcement.
  • Resiliency & Compliance Alignment
  • Ensure all routing changes align with
    customer-specific requirements
    ,
    high availability standards
    , and
    network resiliency best practices
    .
  • Platform Expertise
  • Work across
    Cisco IOS/IOS-XE
    ,
    NX-OS
    ,
    Juniper
    ,
    Arista
    , and
    Palo Alto PAN-OS
  • Support
    dynamic routing protocols
    (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and
    static route frameworks
  • Integrate routing with
    firewall zones
    ,
    VRFs
    , and
    multi-context architectures
  • Advanced Troubleshooting & Escalation
  • Act as the
    L3 escalation point
    for routing-related incidents, performing diagnostics using CLI, route analytics, and packet captures.
  • Documentation & Change Control
  • Maintain detailed configuration records, topology diagrams, and change logs to support audits and operational transparency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years in
    network engineering
    , with deep expertise in
    routing policy design
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Route-maps
    ,
    prefix-lists
    ,
    VRF route-leaking
    , and
    redistribution techniques
  • Firewall-integrated routing
    in multi-tenant environments (VSYS, VDOM, contexts)
  • Routing resiliency
    ,
    failover
    , and
    load balancing
    strategies
  • Experience with
    multi-vendor environments
    and
    customer-specific routing policies

Preferred Certifications

  • CCNP / CCIE Routing & Switching or Enterprise Infrastructure
  • ITIL Foundation
    (for process alignment)
  • CISSP
    (Preferred)
