Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) is seeking experienced and capable Pool Operations Supervisors to lead the safe and efficient management of our world-class aquatic facilities. This pivotal role is essential in upholding exceptional standards of service, venue presentation, and safety—ensuring every visitor enjoys a secure and memorable experience at Sydney Olympic Park.
As a Pool Operations Supervisor, you will oversee a committed team of lifeguards, implement effective operational procedures, and ensure all venue requirements are consistently met. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the safe use of facilities, promptly identifying and mitigating risks, and enhancing customer satisfaction through strategic scheduling and resource management.
Additionally, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining compliance with the Centre's Emergency Management Plan and fostering the professional development of your team.

What you will bring to the role
- Effective planning and coordination skills for managing events across various aquatic disciplines while maintaining leisure facility operations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and provide timely solutions for operational incidents or issues.
- Excellent risk and safety management skills to ensure the safety of patrons, clients, and tenants.
- Ability to supervise and develop a team, providing clear performance standards and constructive feedback.
- Strong communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in using technology to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness in operations.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer-focused services and continuous improvement.
Essential requirement
- Aquatic Technical Operator certificate (SISSS00131) or equivalent
- Current - Pool Lifeguard qualifications recognised in NSW (SISSS00133)
- Provide First Aid (HLTAID 011)
- Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012
- This role follows a shift roster and weekend work will be required
