We are working with leading international firm who are looking for an Associate to join their Construction team within their Sydney or Melbourne office.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join the back end of a dedicated and esteemed team, advising a range of international and domestic clients in complex and high-profile transactions. The candidate will support the team in duties across a variety of sectors, including energy, transport, infrastructure, and telecommunications.

The candidate will work across a diverse range of challenging back-end matters, predominantly working on infrastructure and renewables products. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria

  • 2-4 PQE;
  • Strong background in non-contentious/back-end construction law. Previous experience in telecoms/technology highly advantageous;
  • Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
  • Outstanding academics;
  • Technically excellent;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Willingness to become involved in business development;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
