Senior Legal Counsel – Construction (5–8 Years' PQE)

A leading Middle East property developer, renowned for delivering
high-end luxury developments
across the UAE and into Saudi Arabia, is seeking a
Senior Legal Counsel – Construction (5–8 years PQE)
to join its Dubai-based legal team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is reshaping the region's luxury real estate market during a period of significant growth.

Position Description

Reporting directly to the
Head of Legal
, you will provide legal support across a broad range of construction and development matters, with exposure to both
front-end and back-end work
.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, consultancy agreements, procurement documents and project-related agreements.
  • Advising on disputes, claims management, contract interpretation and resolution strategies.
  • Supporting the delivery of high-profile, landmark developments across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
  • Working closely with senior business leaders, project teams and external counsel.
  • Providing risk management advice and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking candidates who bring:

  • 5 + PQE
    in construction law, ideally gained with a top-tier law firm and/or in-house environment.
  • Solid experience in both
    front-end and contentious construction matters
    . Our client will consider a front-end solicitor with only limited exposure to disputes.
  • Background in major property development, infrastructure, or large-scale real estate projects ideal, as well as project delivery.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a large, high-performing legal team.
