About Us

The Australian Gas Association (AGA) is a national, not-for-profit organisation with a proud 100-year legacy of keeping Australians safe. We test and certify gas, plumbing and energy-related products, helping manufacturers and suppliers meet standards and deliver safe products to market.

The Role

This graduate-level role is ideal for someone with a technical degree who enjoys solving practical problems and wants a mix of office and client-facing work.

  • WaterMark (WM) plumbing product approvals
  • Gas Cylinder Test Station certification
  • Other regulated and voluntary compliance services

Your work will combine desktop technical reviews, hands-on audits, client liaison and project management. You will learn directly from experienced engineers and auditors while working with manufacturers, suppliers and laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and eventually lead product certification and renewal projects
  • Assist with and conduct annual compliance audits
  • Review technical data, standards and test results
  • Prepare and maintain audit and certification documentation
  • Liaise with laboratories and technical experts
  • Travel across Australia (with some potential international exposure)
  • Contribute ideas to improve certification systems and processes

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Recent tertiary qualification in engineering, science or a related technical field
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn complex standards and regulations
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Organised and comfortable managing multiple projects
  • Readiness to travel for audits and client visits (with support and mentoring provided)
