Mobile Vehicle Inspector – Subcontractor (Geelong, Torquay & Melton Areas) We're looking for an experienced mechanic to take on subcontract vehicle inspection work across Geelong, Torquay, and Melton. This role is best suited to someone with solid industry experience who is already working as a mobile mechanic or a retired mechanic looking for extra income. Responsibilities: Visit sellers to carry out pre-purchase vehicle inspections Complete inspection reports through our mobile app (training provided) Identify issues using diagnostic equipment and scanning tools Perform test drives to detect mechanical problems Apply knowledge of hybrid and modern vehicles Provide clear explanations of automotive issues and repairs Deliver excellent customer service to buyers Manage time effectively across jobs Be available for daytime work during weekdays and weekends (casual, flexible basis) Requirements: 10+ years of mechanical industry experience preferred (minimum 5 years will be considered) Mechanic trade qualification (license highly regarded) Light Vehicle Tester Licence highly regarded Must be technology savvy (comfortable using apps and reporting tools) Own car and valid driver's licence Must have an ABN and public liability insurance Own tools and diagnostic equipment What We Offer: $170 – $400 per working day (depending on workload) Flexible subcontracting – take the job only if you're available Full training on inspection and reporting system No chasing customers or admin – jobs are booked for you Great way to supplement your income or boost your existing business We are now open to interviews.
