We are seeking internal interest for a new opportunity within Day Services Team at OC Connections for a Team Leader working full-time based at OC Connections Warrigal Road.

As a member of the Day Support Team, the Team Leader has a diverse role and is responsible for leading a team of disability support workers who work directly with OC Connections participants. You will be responsible for day-to-day supervision and administration responsibilities to ensure OC Connections participants are receiving quality and person-centred supports and services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the performance of staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and supporting staff in applying person- centred practice.
  • Regular supervision, coaching guidance and support of staff.
  • Rostering and ensuring correct staffing levels.
  • Manage and allocate OC Connections' resources in an efficient manner to gain optimum benefit.
  • Assisting in developing business plans and recommending opportunities for improvement in the service.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Disability.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Well-developed communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and numerical skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to work and communicate effectively with people with a disability.
  • A positive attitude and an ability to respond creatively in providing the support necessary for the people we support to achieve their dreams and goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervisor and in a team.
  • Computer literate.
