About the Role

ConnectEast is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Infrastructure Team Leader to oversee and support our ICT infrastructure across both Corporate and Tolling environments.

Reporting to the Service Deliver Manager, this pivotal role ensures the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our systems, while collaborating with vendors and internal teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.

What You'll Be Doing (but not limited to)

  • Lead infrastructure support across Corporate and Tolling environments, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Manage vendor relationships including managed service providers, software suppliers, and interface partners to maintain service quality.
  • Provide technical leadership in infrastructure design, architecture, and third-level support for internal teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance infrastructure and application systems.
  • Monitor and resolve system issues, coordinating with vendors on issues that arise, fixes, patches, and upgrades.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring robust backup and emergency procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate infrastructure risks, supporting compliance and reducing potential financial impacts.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (desirable) or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in ICT support.
  • Strong technical expertise in Oracle 12c, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL, Linux, Windows, and Networking.
  • Exposure to ELK/Kibana, Shareplex, Business Objects, BIRT, Python, JavaScript, JBoss, Web Services, and Quality Centre.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks
