Drouin, Victoria, Australia STEM Zone Full time $45,000 - $65,000 per year

STEM Zone is seeking a dynamic individual to be part of our team. This role is a diverse one as you will be supporting the Director of STEM Zone with administration, supporting our Lab Technician, coordinating a staff and student timetable, as well as be the front of house face of STEM Zone answering enquiries.

Additionally, management of the online component of our business is required so experience with the Microsoft Suite - specifically SharePoint & Word as well as formatting documentation is desired along with strong IT skills.

Technical requirements:

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and SharePoint skills
  • Experience with document formatting and version control
  • Comfortable learning new software systems
  • Basic troubleshooting and IT problem-solving abilities

Applicants will need to be versatile and be able to manage a variety of tasks assisting in the smooth operation of all business activities. This could include:

  • amending documentation
  • assisting in compliance and updating processes and workflow documentation
  • assisting in running programs with children (when needed)
  • organising student and teacher timetabling
  • purchasing supplies
  • answering phone calls and emails
  • organising resources and equipment
  • all administrative tasks
  • management of the online component to our business including the formatting of documentation and coordination of staff

Pay rate will be dependant on experience and skills and whether the online component of our business is included in the role.

Working with Children Check is required.

Qualifications:

  • Year 12 completion or equivalent
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or similar qualification preferred

Essential skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (SharePoint, Word)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Experience required:

  • Minimum 1-2 years administrative experience
  • Previous experience in educational or small business environments preferred
  • Experience coordinating schedules and managing documentation

Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia
