Financial Crime Technology are a specialised field within the CBA Group that focuses on using technology to detect, prevent, and manage financial crimes. This includes activities such as money laundering, counter terrorism financing, fraud and other illegal financial activities.

As the Executive Solutions Architect for Financial Crime, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that address complex financial crime challenges. Your critical thinking skills and expertise in AI (Gen and Agentic), AWS and data management will be pivotal in shaping our strategies and driving thought leadership in the industry.

The role involves providing executive architectural leadership supporting multiple Financial Crime domain-aligned crews, working across all service domains, and ensuring the consistent application of architectural governance across the Group in line with reference architecture.

You will be responsible for leading the overall Financial Crime Architecture Centre of Excellence, defining and embedding best practice architecture for Financial Crime Technology and empowering crews to deliver both our ambitions in the "Relentless pursuit of the elimination of Financial Crime" while driving the Group's Technology Strategy. You will lead a team of expert Financial Crime Solution Architects supporting multiple crews within the large and complex Finance Crime Domain.

Additionally, you will be responsible for defining, measuring, and improving the end-to-end approach to Architectural Governance, ensuring consistency and efficiency with best-in-class technology. The role requires uplifting Architecture maturity by fostering a culture of sharing, learning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. You will lead, inspire, motivate, and provide strategic direction to Domain Architecture leaders and Architects, in addition to Crew Leaders and their teams. You will operate as a key partner and advisor, providing timely and effective advice to senior leaders on embedding the target state architecture and strategy

We're interested in hearing from experienced senior leaders with:

• Experience in leading architectural teams ideally with demonstrated experience in applying Domain Driven Design

• In-depth knowledge of key industry trends, in particular AI (both GenAI and Agentic AI)

• Proven experience in successfully implementing approaches to application & platform modernisation, including APIs, Data Products, and a Cloud-First strategy

• Expertise in AI and data analytics methodologies

• Ability and experience in challenging the norm and confidence in having robust technical conversations
