We're offering an exciting opportunity for UK-based consultants to join our Australia & New Zealand permanent recruitment team, focusing on placing UK and Irish Doctors and Nurses into permanent roles across Australia & NZ.

This is a chance to broaden your market, work internationally, and help healthcare professionals take the next step in their careers—all while contributing to the delivery of vital services in high-demand regions.

About Global Medics

Global Medics is one of the leading healthcare staffing companies in Australasia. We have a long history in the healthcare market and have been at the forefront of continually evolving our service range and developing innovative solutions for our customers. We operate in three locations around the world - Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom - to meet the specialist needs of our customers and candidates through dedicated businesses hubs.

About the Role

This role will see you using your talent acquisition prowess to source, qualify, place and assist candidates through their international journey from the UK&I into their permanent jobs in Australia and New Zealand. Working with your manager and the Client Relationship Manager, you will ensure the candidate pipeline is strong to continually fulfill our project commitments to our clients. Backed by a collaborative team in Australia, you'll help healthcare professionals take the next step in their careers abroad and contribute to essential healthcare services in high-demand regions.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the full recruitment process, from sourcing to placement, while building and maintaining strong candidate relationships.
  • Developing creative sourcing strategies to attract top healthcare talent through direct outreach, referrals, social media, and networking.
  • Identifying suitable candidates by understanding college pathways, visa processes, and market shortages across targeted regions.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet project fill rates and adjust recruitment focus based on pipeline and demand.
  • Ensuring all candidates meet compliance and visa requirements, coordinating closely with immigration partners and regulatory bodies.
  • Managing onboarding and credentialing to ensure candidates are fully prepared and eligible before starting work.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the recruitment system and ensuring all documentation is complete, up-to-date, and compliant.

What Will You Bring?

To thrive in these roles, you'll bring a strong mix of recruitment expertise, commercial acumen, and a genuine passion for supporting healthcare professionals on their international journey. We're looking for consultants who are driven, relationship-focused, and ready to make a meaningful impact.

  • Proven experience in permanent recruitment, ideally within healthcare or international markets.
  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding billing targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, trustworthy, and commercially savvy.
