The Opportunity

We're seeking a technically sharp, detail-oriented Electrical Draftsperson who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands the realities of EPC/EPCM delivery, to join our team based in Brisbane CBD.

As an Electrical Designer, your day will revolve around precision, collaboration, and practical execution. You'll contribute to multiple active projects, producing design documentation that meets the highest standards of constructability, safety, and compliance.

Your typical day will consist of:

• Producing electrical drawings (hard copy and CAD) aligned with client specifications, GRES standards, and relevant codes, by-laws, and safety-in-design principles
• Designing for constructability, manufacturability, and material availability - integrating vendor data and practical constraints
• Designing and reviewing single line diagrams, schematics, terminations, equipment layouts, substation layouts
• Generating cable schedules and equipment lists
• Managing your workload across concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and design integrity
• Collaboration with other disciplines to prevent design holds and meet project specific requirements and timeframes

What we are looking for:

• 3 – 5 years of drafting experience in the resources industry
• Diploma-level qualifications in electrical design/drafting
• Proficiency in CAD design packages and systems
• Experience in 2D/3D modelling in the electrical space
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a design context
• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
• Experience with Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Schematics & Terminations
• Exposure to Layout and General Arrangement Drawings such as equipment layout, lighting, earthing, cable ladder/tray routes, conduits
• Knowledge surrounding instruments and control drawings such as loop diagrams, network block diagrams and cabinet layouts
• Full and unrestricted AU work rights and currently residing in Brisbane
