About The Role
Senior Digital Drafter - BIM is responsible for the detailed design and preparation of digital drawing production and digital outputs. This position also contributes to the advancement of digital engineering capabilities and supports continuous improvement in the application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and related technologies.

  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
  • Support digital goals and objectives across the project in line with the CAD Management Plan and the DEMP.
  • Support BIM implementation initiatives with minimal disruption to active project deliverables.
  • Apply established engineering principles and standards in the design and preparation of drawings.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed systems drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.

About You

  • 5+ years' experience in detail modelling and drafting, coordination, documentation with a solid technical understanding of relevant disciplines for Major Projects, Transport, or Infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with technical discipline standards including ISO19650 standards is preferred.
  • Must Possess advanced proficiency in AutoCAD. Familiarity with MicroStation is considered advantageous and will be viewed favourably.
  • Intermediate skills using various DE authoring software (such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, etc) and other interfacing software packages preferred (such as Automation Python C# Dynamo, MS Tools, Primavera P6, etc).
  • High level of experience of design principals and drafting standards in a similar industry.
  • Extensive experience of design and constructability principles for MEI systems.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
