Electrical Design Draftsperson

Actemium Manufacturing Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Draftsperson to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically driven individual who is passionate about working across diverse industrial sectors and eager to develop both electrical and mechanical design expertise in switchboard installations.

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop detailed electrical drawings for all aspects of electrical design – High Voltage, Low Voltage, Instrumentation and Control Systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical trades to develop mechanical design drawings for Switchboards, Kiosk Substations and Containerized Switchrooms
• Collaborate within a team of engineers and electricians to deliver complete design and installation electrical packages
• Influence and lead the development of company-wide design standards for electrical drafting
• Be at the forefront of our transition into 3D drafting, helping shape the future of our design capabilities.

What you'll bring:

• Ability to interpret electrical based drawings made up of schematics, single line diagrams, termination diagrams, general arrangements and layout plans.
• Ability to review and interpret specifications and drawings ensuring compliance with customer design requirements.
• Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Possess a strong work ethic and have exceptional attention to detail.
• Sound organisation skills with ability to communicate with all stakeholders;
• Demonstrated project management skills to deliver a quality product on time and within budget;

• Effective time management skills with flexible attitude to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Education & Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience working in an electrical design role - experience in switchboard design would be advantageous
• Current Queensland driver's licence (QLD)
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD. AutoCAD Electrical experience would be advantageous;
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite specifically MS Excel;
• 3D drafting experience using Solidworks would be advantageous
