ABOUT THE ROLE

The Regional Manager South Queensland provides strategic and operational leadership across Footprints designated regional sites, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-led services that reflect organisational values and strategic priorities. Reporting to the General Manager Service Operations, this role oversees service delivery, workforce management and regional performance to ensure outcomes that enhance wellbeing, independence and social connection.

This position is accountable for leading Site Managers and regional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. The Regional Manager will ensure services are delivered in line with contractual, quality and regulatory standards, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and supporting the sustainability and growth of regional operations. Success in this role requires an experienced and values-driven leader with strong operational acumen, a deep understanding of community service delivery and the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes at the local level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple sites and services within the BNPHN, BSPHN and GCPHN regions.
  • Develop and implement regional operational plans aligned with Footprints strategic objectives
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-led services that meet participant needs and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching and mentoring to Site Managers and regional teams.
  • Manage and monitor regional budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability, identify variances and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, carers and advocates.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Current Queensland Class C Driver?s License.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or current Yellow Card and Blue Card.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, Health, Business Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years? experience in a senior management or regional leadership role within the community services, or health sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations and leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with demonstrated ability to coach, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to align regional operations to organisational objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of service delivery models within the community and health sectors.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualifications in business, leadership or social services management.
  • Experience in change management and organisational development.
  • Knowledge of contemporary support models, trauma-informed care and person-led practice.
  • Current First Aid, CPR or Mental Health First Aid certifications
