67610 - South and West Facilities Area Leader - Isaac Region

The South & West Facilities Area Leader reports to the Coordinator Civic Venues, who in turn reports to the Director Community Services. In this position, a strong emphasis is placed on customer and hospitality service, event planning and execution, and the creation of community value.

Within this context, the South & West Facilities Area Leader is accountable for leading and managing Council-operated facilities in the South & West area, including but not limited to, the Dysart Recreation Centre, Dysart Civic Centre. Clermont Civic Centre, Middlemount Community Hall and any other assets in Dysart, Clermont, and Middlemount as assigned. Through their immediate team, the Area Leader ensures accessible, efficient, and sustainable facility management.

The South & West Facilities Area Leader must function in a transparent and highly collaborative way amongst its immediate and corresponding teams, across the Directorate, Council and within the community.

To be successful in this position, you will:

• Demonstrated understanding of applicable Australian Building Codes and Standards.

• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-level customer service.

• Demonstrated experience in the operation of audiovisual equipment.

• Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support.

• Experience in the use of financial programs, and preparing requisitions and expenditure reports.

• Previous local government experience and an understanding of departmental policy and procedures would be highly regarded.

• Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary work teams.

• Previous experience with Technology One or similar record keeping systems would be highly regarded.

If you are successful in this position, you will receive:

• Salary $90,205.62 per annum (Stream A, Level 4)
• Permanent, Full Time Position
• Based in the Isaac Region
• Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight
• 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
• RDO's in accordance with Council Policy
• Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
