We are looking for an experienced Power Sector expert to join our Clean Power team. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a profound impact, driving the transition towards a cleaner and greener world.

You will be a "seller-doer" playing a key and leading role in growing our business in Australia
with a focus on technical due diligence for developers, investors, and owners of renewable energy, storage, and power network infrastructure.

In projects, your role will be to provide technical expertise with a focus on transmission networks including grid connections.

We encourage you to apply for this role if you have the following key competencies and significant and demonstrable experience:
Must have

• University and master's degree in energy economics / economic regulation, electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar.
• Significant experience in lead generation and business development, with a strong track record establishing lasting relationships with private sector customers in the renewable and storage industry and with power utilities in Australia.
• Significant experience working for private sector customers in the renewable and storage industry and with power utilities in Australia.
• Specific experience carrying out and overseeing transmission planning studies, including steady-state and dynamic stability studies.
• Excellent understanding of Australian and global power networks and power systems, power sector regulation, electricity markets.
• Solid experience in successfully leading teams and managing complex projects.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Native or professional-level competence in English

Desirable But Not Essential

• Experience using DigSilent , PSS/E , and/or Powerworld or equivalent.
• Experience with transmission-level concept design.
• Experience reviewing and implementing technical regulations including grid codes.
• Experience with power market design studies.
• International experience in power sector consultancy – demonstrable experience in North America, Europe, Africa or Latin America is an asset
• Relevant experience using Helioscope , PV/Syst , Homer Pro and/or PLEXOS.
