About the directorate
The Corporate Services Directorate ensures the OCG is credible, responsive and accountable. We focus on providing high quality customer service to the OCG and our broader stakeholders.
About the role
The Systems Officer provides technical support for the day-to-day operations of the organisation's ICT systems. They ensure the seamless operation of the OCG's ICT hardware by monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues.
We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to:
- Provide technical administration and leadership to OCG in the areas of products, systems and configurations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical support and the delivery of projects.
- Monitor, analyse and report on systems performance including 3rd party support vendors.
- Contribute to building capability within the ICT technical stream ensuring effective knowledge sharing and coaching.
Key knowledge and experience
- Demonstrate strategic thinking in planning, design, development and deployment of new processes and identify opportunities for enhancements to existing processes.
- Excellent computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive with a high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to project plan and manage key business initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent knowledge and workplace experience including ongoing professional development.
- All roles associated with the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current Working with Children Check.
- Employment at the Office of the Children's Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.
