We're on the hunt for a fun, energetic and experienced Head of Department for Adventures, who isn't just familiar with outdoor adventures but has lived them. Your role will be to lead your team to guide our customers through the cliff park adventures, providing thrilling and educational experiences that highlight the beauty of nature.
Got what it takes?
This role requires someone who:
• Radiates positive and vibrant energy to ensure every customer feels welcomed, informed and appreciated
• Responsible for all aspects of adventure tourism including resource management, customer service, fitting of customer harnesses and helmets, safety training and supervision
• Manage daily operations of the activities, team member rostering & rotation and performance management
• Conducts pre-tour orientation and training for customers
• Inspects and sets out all course components and gear
• Assists with department open and closing procedures
• Heads course rescues
• Conducts regular inspections and audits of safety equipment, work areas, paths and trails, park activity structures to identify and remedy potential safety hazards or issues.
• Prepare detailed reports on daily operations and customer feedback for Park Manager
Do you fit the bill?
We've got a few deal breakers, so you'll need to have:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current First Aid HLTAID011 & CPR HLTAID009 certificate
• Safely Work at Heights RIIWHS204E
• Vertical Rescue Certification
• IRATA experience advantageous
• Cert IV Work Health Safety advantageous
• Certificate II in Sport & Recreation SIS20115 is advantageous
• Computer confidence and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• An understanding of exposure and working in outdoor environments
• A positive and happi outlook with a can-do attitude
• Be a team player, strong leader and self-motivated
• High level of physical fitness
• Your own reliable vehicle

Are you prepared?
• Some areas of the park can be challenging at times, including varied weather conditions, so this position is best suited to an individual comfortable working outdoors and maintains their physical fitness.
• Our days of operation are Thursday to Monday.
• Weekends, public holidays, and school holidays are our time to shine, so it's all hands on deck. Availability during these times is a minimum requirement.
