First Move Property is a Melbourne specialist buyer's agency and Investr caters specifically to the needs of property investors and developers.

Our edge is our combined negotiation experience of almost 2 decades, leading billions of dollars worth of deals around the world.

About you

We are seeking a relentlessly solutions focused individual, with strong problem solving and analytical skills to join our team. You have strong communication skills and an ability to build instant trust, with an obligation to make an impact on the people around us. You are a hunter who loves finding a great deal that fits perfectly with the client briefs. You build strong long-term relationships with sales agents, and show deep empathy for their roles. You are a collaborative team player, who loves contributing to the success of the team. Your obsession with property is a given If you need hand-holding, this isn't the job for you.

What you'll do

Find amazing off-market deals

  • You have strong long-term relationships with sales agents. You are the first person sales agents think of when they list a property, and they love working with you so much that they offer you exclusive off-markets.
  • Your relationships with agents are so strong, that your property briefs are front of mind for them. They know exactly what you love to buy

Perform due diligence and provide recommendations

  • Deal analysis to ensure that every deal
    stacks up financially
  • Perform CMA, evaluate rental yields, capital growth potential, and risks before recommending anything.
  • Inspect properties, assess property condition, zoning, council overlays, and potential value-add or renovation needs.
  • Prepare and present the information in a concise, clear and simple form - giving clients confidence in the purchase.
  • Recommend the negotiation strategy
  • Advise on auction bidding strategies (if applicable)

Negotiate like a pro

  • You have strong listening skills and deep empathy to know what to ask, when to push, when to hold, and when to walk away.
  • Get the best outcome for our clients whilst maintaining strong relationships with sales agents.

Market expert

  • Proactively stay on top of market dynamics and trends to uncover suitable opportunities for both homeowners and investors

What you need to have

  • A buyer's agent license, or completion of your Cert 4. This is a legal requirement and is not negotiable.
  • Experience in property sourcing or deal-making. Able to source, assess, and secure great investment properties and homes.
  • Driver's license

Performance metrics (how we measure success)

  • 1+ purchase per week
  • Quality over quantity, but we need
    consistent results
  • 20+ agent connections weekly
  • You need to be building rapport with agents to get deals done
  • 1-hour turnaround on deal analysis - Speed + accuracy = confident clients.
  • 4-hour turnaround on feedback to sales agent - whether it's a Yes or a No
