About WA Good Food Guide

The West Australian Good Food Guide (WAGFG) is WA's #1 resource for discovering the best places to eat, drink and stay across the State. Our multi-platform brand reaches over 1 million readers annually; from culture-conscious diners to discerning travellers, hospitality professionals, and the brands that support them.

Founded in 2013, WAGFG is an independent media company built on influence, credibility and a deep respect for WA's food, drink and travel culture. Through editorial, events, partnerships and our newly expanded Stays and Experiences verticals, we are defining what it means to be the trusted voice of WA hospitality.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven professional to lead Business Development efforts across multiple verticals in the food, beverage, and lifestyle sectors.

You'll develop and execute a partnership and advertising strategy that spans website banner ads, print ads, and branded content campaigns, while securing and managing major partnerships with year-round activations. With new markets on the horizon, this role offers the chance to shape and drive our growth trajectory.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves building relationships, going beyond the keyboard to foster meaningful connections in person or virtually. You must care deeply about our brand and the partners we bring into our family, with a keen eye for identifying brands that align perfectly with our discerning audience of food and travel enthusiasts.

What We're Looking For

An extremely proactive individual who understands the quota of outreach verses conversion.

Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or advertising sales, ideally in media, publishing, or the lifestyle sectors.

Strong network in the food, beverage, or hospitality industries, with a track record of building long-term relationships.

Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail; we don't just pump out proposals, we take the time to understand our partners' needs and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for each relationship.

Passion for the West Australian Good Food Guide brand and a deep understanding of audience targeting, with an instinct for what makes a "good fit" for our community.

Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity (4 days per week), with flexibility for travel or events as needed.

Familiarity with digital advertising tools, CRM systems, and performance analytics.
