About the Role

We're on the lookout for a detail-driven, process-focused Asset & CMDB Configuration Coordinator to join our Service Management team. You'll be the guardian of our configuration and asset data, working closely with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure data accuracy, process integrity, and operational excellence.

This role plays a key part in maintaining the configuration management database (CMDB) and asset register, supporting customer outcomes, driving continual service improvement, and enhancing governance across our managed IT environments.

What You'll Do 

Maintain the CMDB and asset register in line with internal and customer processes

  • Process approved updates to configuration items (CIs) and hardware/software assets
  • Monitor the quality of CMDB updates from both manual and automated data sources
  • Generate configuration and asset reports, trends, and technical analyses
  • Support audits, workshops, and internal improvement initiatives
  • Assist with SOPs, process development, and training delivery for internal teams
  • Actively engage in internal and external service management communities and meetings
  • Support continual improvement and help evolve the CMDB maturity roadmap

What You Bring 

  • 2+ years' experience in ITIL-based configuration or asset management in a complex IT environment
  • Proven customer service experience and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and collaboration
  • Self-motivated, analytical, and proactive with a detail-oriented mindset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; experience with ServiceNow a strong plus
  • Broad knowledge of ICT systems, including cloud technologies and infrastructure
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools, discovery platforms, or service integration models (SIAM) is desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or Business Management
  • ITIL Foundation certification (v3 or later) required; intermediate certs a plus
