Project Financial Administrator – 14-Month Parental Leave Cover (Brisbane)
Are you an experienced Project Financial Administrator ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Brisbane team on a 14-month fixed-term parental leave cover.
About the Role
This Brisbane-based role will see you supporting our Project Managers with financial activities and project administration. You'll play a key part in ensuring compliance with BG&E's systems, processes, and contractual obligations.
What to expect in a day:
Working as part of a highly collaborative team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Project maintenance within our database including but not limited to: project/task setups; assisting with the tracking of project variations; assisting with resourcing requirements of projects).
- Invoicing, both generating and following up on debtors.
- Timesheet approvals & Time Reporting.
- Managing flow of subconsultant invoices.
- End of Month Closure Activities (including report preparation and meetings).
- Assisting internal and external clients with project specific inquiries.
- Training staff where appropriate on systems/processes and project management issues.
What you will bring
- 3+ years of financial experience, whether in Accounts Payable/Receivable or a broader finance role.
- Exposure to BST would be beneficial, as it is our current system. However, we are transitioning to Microsoft Dynamics 365, so ground-level knowledge of Dynamics would be highly advantageous.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a preference for face-to-face support in the office.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A background in consultancy or construction will be highly regarded and could make this the perfect opportunity for you
