Restaurant Manager | The Albert Park Hotel

The Albert Park Hotel is looking for a Restaurant Manager who is seeking a new challenge in their hospitality career and wants to grow with our company and dynamic team. As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operations our bar, restaurant and function spaces. You will support the General Manager and Venue Manager in leading an established, high-performing team and delivering exceptional service to our valued guests.

About the venue

An iconic original of Melbourne's Southside since, 1883, The Albert Park Hotel has long been a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. Whether it's a pint on footy night, a casual lunch or dinner, a celebration with friends, or a relaxed Sunday afternoon with bubbles and bar snacks in the heart of the Village.

At the center of the hotel is Happy Valley, our modern Cantonese restaurant, bringing bold and contemporary flavours to the table. 

We are part of Morris Hospitality: a Melbourne-based company operating a collection of iconic hotels in Victoria and Queensland. We're leaders in modern pub culture with a passion for creating food-centric destinations with exceptional service that's at the core of everything we do.

About the role

As Restaurant Manager you will be required to:

  • Oversee daily operations across all areas of the venue
  • Manage and support staff, including rostering and performance management
  • Maintain stock control and assist with inventory management
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and venue presentation
  • Assist with training and development of team members
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and public holidays when required

About you

  • Have strong leadership and communication skills
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Passionate about hospitality and team development
