The Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club is offering an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated Email Marketing Design Intern to join our team. This hands on internship is perfect for students wanting to build their portfolio, develop practical skills, and complete course related work placement in a professional sporting environment.

Purpose of Role

The Email Marketing Design Intern will support the Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club in the visual design and production of email communications across multiple departments.

This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in digital design and email marketing, assisting with the creation of visually engaging eDMs that reflect the club's brand and drive fan engagement.

Working closely with the Marketing Team and external partners, the intern will contribute to the layout, design, and visual consistency of email campaigns, helping ensure all communications are on-brand, accurate, and delivered on time.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Design & Campaign Support

Assist in the visual development of email campaigns across departments including Marketing, Membership, Community, and Foundation. Ensure all creative assets align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives, and are optimised for email formats.

Creative Input & Innovation

Contribute design ideas that enhance email engagement, fan experience, and overall campaign performance. Stay current with email design trends, digital marketing innovations, and best practices to support continuous improvement of eDM content and workflows

Knowledge, skills and behavior required

  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape, including trends in design, email marketing, and fan engagement
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, with the ability to create, edit, and optimise digital assets for email and online use
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in digital communications and production, with a focus on delivering high-quality, on-brand content
  • Commitment to continuously improving the visual and strategic impact of the Club's digital communications
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently and take initiative when required
  • Positive contributor to team culture and a strong ambassador for the Wanderers brand and values

Important Information

This is an
unpaid internship
opportunity designed to provide valuable industry experience within a professional football club environment. It is ideally suited to students currently completing relevant studies where work placement or internship hours are a required component of their course.
This is an in-person role based at Wanderers Football Park, with the internship conducted during standard business hours on weekdays.
