Flamboyance Tours is looking for a tour guide ready to show visitors around Adelaide on foot. This award-winning company provides Adelaide walking tours to guests from around the world, exploring the city's history, culture, and heritage.

The role will bring interaction with guests while you provide them an unforgettable travel experience. Leading visitors to city landmarks, providing personal recommendations and encouraging interaction are what's expected, but most importantly the ability to shape positive experiences through compelling storytelling.

Provided training by owner/guide Katina will assist in building your city knowledge, but a great tour guide will put their own flair and passion into the tales they tell. Areas like the Adelaide Central Market, Adelaide Arcade and Adelaide Town Hall will be your office.

This is an ongoing casual position with 1-2 shifts on average each week, with weekday availability required. There will be some occasions where we request availability well in advance, working as a team to bring stories to life for groups. The role is great for those looking for additional work to their current responsibilities, or simply a way to get out and be an ambassador for Adelaide in a meaningful way

What we're looking for:

  • Tour guiding experience/study preferred, but not essential
  • Effective storytelling through clear speaking and expression
  • A willingness to learn and retain information
  • Presence that includes featuring on social media content
  • Flexibility in your working week, with ability to take on shifts in advance
  • Passion for Adelaide and everything about it
