Tour Guide – Rumi on Louth (Eyre Peninsula, SA)

Private island eco-luxury | Nature-led storytelling | Permanent part-time (3-4 days/week)

Rumi on Louth is a luxury off-grid eco-resort on a private island off South Australia's stunning Eyre Peninsula. We're seeking a developing Tour Guide who loves storytelling, nature, and meaningful guest interactions. You'll shape how guests experience the island's beauty, wildlife, and history—while helping us design new experiences as we grow.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading guided island buggy tours, off-island excursions, stargazing sessions, fire-pit storytelling, and kayak-fishing adventures, including full setup and pack-down
  • Bringing the island to life with engaging, accurate stories about ecology, wildlife, heritage, and sustainability
  • Keeping every experience safe, informative, and memorable, following our SOPs and safety checks
  • Helping create and refine new guest experiences during downtime, plus light garden/grounds tasks as needed
  • Coordinating with Guest Services and Food & Beverage to deliver seamless itineraries

  • A natural storyteller who cares about the environment and guest experience
  • Calm, personable, and confident speaking with small groups
  • Physically capable and happy working outdoors in changing conditions
  • Organised, safety-minded, and proactive

Nice to Have (Not Essential)

  • Previous guiding or eco-tourism experience
  • Knowledge of local flora/fauna or coastal environments
  • HLTAID011 First Aid and a full C-Class driver's licence (or willingness to obtain)
