**Seeking tour guides for Untamed Adventures**

We are on the lookout for experienced, energetic and charismatic Tour Guides to lead our Untamed Adventures - that would be inlcuding adventure type of tourings (camping style) or charters (high end accommoted tours). The successful applicants will love nature, camping, adventure and be passionate about delivering outstanding tour experiences; as well as professiona standard for high-end charters.

You will lead scheduled tours in a range of vehicles from our 32 seats Bonlock bus, 21 seat coasters to 7-seater Landcruiser. Tours itineraries range from 4 to 20 days and include swag camping to accommodated tours. Routes include our signature Adelaide - Perth (and reverse) tours across the Nullarbor, Adelaide to Alice, Eyre Peninsula, Perth to Esperance and many more.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Liaising with the Operations Manager to go over the manifest and check for special requests or requirements
- Inform passengers about the itinerary and what to expect for the day
- Gather and maintain the requisite equipment for each tour
- Provide information about local flora and fauna, history, geology, and culture in a passionate manner
- Entertain passengers throughout the tour with engaging commentary
- Always conduct tours professionally and safely, adhering to legislation and company policies
- Think outside the box when it comes to alternative activities if cancellations, closures, and/or weather conditions warrant last-minute itinerary changes
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles pre-and post-tour completion, adhering to COVID cleaning processes
- Understand permit requirements for tour operations and ensure compliance with these conditions
- Be committed to continually improving your knowledge of our products, the area and wildlife
- Prepare tour food for up to 21 people according to food hygiene regulations
- Take tour photos for our social media
- Nurture respectful and productive relationships with third party suppliers
- Routine and daily vehicle checks for oil, water and general maintenance and organise servicing requirements and inspection within existing tour schedules

**Qualification & Experience**:

- 2 years previous guiding experience within the last 5 years in Australia
- Clean driving licence with passenger endorsements (Medium Rigid driver's licence)
- You must love the outdoors and pride yourself on providing an unforgettable customer experience
- Excellent knowledge of Australia Southern flora, fauna, history and culture or display a willingness to learn
- Excellent physical fitness
- Be able to work autonomously as well as being an excellent team player
- Highly organised and able to manage stressful situations or emergencies calmly
- Current Wilderness First Aid Certificate/Remote area First Aid
- Passionate about Eco-Tourism
- Must be flexible and willing to be on the road for stints of up to 20 days a month.
- Must be an excellent communicator
- Red Centre (UKTNP Guide Accreditation required)
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with a knack for making people feel at ease
- Ability to solve problems without compromising on the delivery of exceptional guest experiences
- Availability to work based on our tour dates (location dependant)

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Tour Guide: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Medium Rigid driver's licence (preferred)
- Wilderness First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- UKTNP Guide Accreditation (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
