We are a long-established family medical practice seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our friendly team. We are a close-knit team with a faithful patient base who value teamwork, compassion and a strong work ethic.

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year nursing experience to be considered for this position.

We are looking for someone with a background in clinical nursing and with excellent patient care skills to provide assistance to our team of doctors. This role will have you performing a range of nursing duties and assisting reception staff with administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA Registration
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Working With Children's (WWC) Check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using an electronic patient record system
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Australian citizenship is required for this position

Desirable Attributes & Experience (Preferable But Not Mandatory)

  • Experience working in general practice or a similar environment (1 year)
  • Nurse immunizer certificate
  • Venipuncture skills

Duties include:

  • Patient Care: Taking vitals, performing ECGs, wound management, vaccinations, venipuncture, administering medications and assisting with diagnostic and minor procedures.
  • Clinical Duties: Instrument sterilisation, stock management and patient recalls.
  • Administrative Duties: Triaging patient phone calls and booking appointments.
  • Education and Support: Educating patients and their families about their health condition, medication administration and preventive care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with doctors to conduct patient health assessments and chronic disease management plans. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records including progress notes with medical history and treatment plans.
