About the Role

The Nursing & Midwifery Administrative Officer provides high-quality administrative support across the Nursing & Midwifery Leadership Team. This pivotal role ensures efficient, professional and well-coordinated operations, supporting governance, workforce readiness and the successful transition to the New Footscray Hospital. Working collaboratively across Western Health, the position contributes to the smooth delivery of nursing and midwifery functions that underpin safe, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support governance and transition activities related to policies, procedures, guidelines (PPGs), and systems such as PROMPT and SharePoint.
  • Provide proactive administrative support to the Nursing & Midwifery Leadership Team, including diary management, meeting coordination and document preparation.
  • Coordinate communication, reporting and project deliverables across multiple nursing and midwifery portfolios.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and workforce readiness activities, ensuring efficient processes and confidentiality.
  • Organise workshops, training sessions and events, maintaining strong attention to detail and professionalism in all interactions.

About You

  • Experienced administrative professional with a minimum of three years' experience in a complex or large organisation.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing demands with ease.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using systems such as SharePoint and other digital platforms.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude and commitment to Western Health's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Safety.
