Reporting to the Investigation Lead, you'll play a key role in leading investigations into serious misconduct across the organisation. This role requires a high level of discretion, professionalism, and collaboration, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by upholding Goodstart's standards of integrity and fairness.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage investigations into serious misconduct with integrity and fairness
  • Apply critical thinking and investigative techniques to uncover facts and trends
  • Collaborate with People & Culture, Safeguarding Children, and other internal teams to support evidence gathering
  • Prepare high-quality reports that clearly present findings and recommendations
  • Support compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks across states
  • Demonstrate agility in learning and applying state-specific regulations and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive and emotionally charged situations
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by being adaptable, approachable, and collaborative
  • Provide coaching and support to operational teams on investigation processes
  • Help identify systemic risks and recommend improvements to strengthen organisational integrity
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to team capability uplift
  • Support relationships with regulators and external stakeholders through compliant and timely reporting

You'll bring to the table:

  • Relevant qualification in investigations, policing, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations, including interviewing, report writing and case management
  • Experience in the Police force, statutory child protection, or early education sector investigations
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • High learning agility to navigate varying state regulations
  • Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining quality and timeliness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in emotionally charged situations
  • Open Driver's Licence

  • Current Working with Children Check
