There's no life without water, there's no us without U A career in the water industry can take you around the world, after all - it's a precious resource every single person needs and uses.
We're thrilled to open applications for our 2026 UrbanGrad Graduate Program that commences January next year.
Since launching in 2018, UrbanGrad has played an essential role in driving our organisation's success. Whether it be preparing for the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics, delivering vital community infrastructure, or ensuring safe, reliable water and wastewater services, our emerging talent has been at the heart of it all. That's why there's never been a better time to dip your toes into the utilities industry.
We're a team of locals supporting locals, supplying drinking water, recycled water and wastewater services to communities in Brisbane, Ipswich, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley, and Somerset. We're changing, we're innovating, and we want you to challenge us to push the conventional boundaries that connect back to customer and community focussed outcomes.
Our 2026 in-take will be focussed on Digital, Information, and Technology graduates.

We are welcoming applications from graduates with the following tertiary education (min. bachelor's degree):
- Computer Science
- Control Systems
- Data Science
- Information Technology
- Operational Technology
Eligibility criteria:
- You must be a recent graduate having completed your degree within two years of January 2026
- Unrestricted working rights for the duration of the program January January 2028

Recruitment timelines:
- 23rd June - 20th July: application period
- July/August: shortlisting and phone interviews with the Talent Team
- Mid-September: in-person Welcome Day at our head office in Fortitude Valley
- October: interview with your potential team and leader
- October/November: offers to join the UrbanGrad Program
- Late January: start with Urban Utilities
