Description

Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Rochedale. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our accounts payable function while providing day-to-day leadership to one direct report.

In this varied role, you will manage supplier accounts, oversee payment processing and reconciliation, and act as the key contact for vendor queries. You will also support wider office operations and motor-vehicle administration, contributing to the overall efficiency of the QLD office.

Your proven experience in accounts payable (minimum 5 years), strong ERP knowledge, and exceptional communication and organisational skills will enable you to thrive in this fast-paced, collaborative environment. Experience within civil construction or related industries will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end processing of supplier invoices and payments in IFSMonitoring AP inbox, supplier follow-ups, and reconciliationPreparation of weekly and month-end payment runsManaging and mentoring one Accounts Payable OfficerOverseeing office administration and fleet coordinationLiaising with suppliers, internal teams, and external partnersSupporting HR and IT with onboarding and office operationsPromoting a proactive and solutions-focused team culture

Skills And Experiences

About You

Minimum 5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable roleExperience in leading or mentoring a small teamStrong data entry, ERP and Excel skillsHighly organised with exceptional attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPositive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindsetExposure to the civil construction sector (advantageous)Tertiary qualification in accounting or similar discipline (desirable)
