About the role

As an Accounts Payable Officer at Wolfram Limited, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial operations. This full-time position is based at our Mt Carlton Operations and will involve processing invoices, managing payments, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounts payable transactions.

What you'll be doing

  • Invoice processing: Receive, verify, and process invoices for accuracy and code them to the correct cost centres
  • Payment processing: Schedule and process payments to suppliers, including both local and international payments, and prepare payment runs
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies, daily bank reconciliation, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Vendor management: Maintain accurate vendor records and act as a point of contact for suppliers regarding payments and account queries
  • Purchase order (PO) matching: Match invoices to corresponding purchase orders and goods receipts to ensure accuracy before processing payment
  • Expense management: Process and manage employee expense claims
  • Month-end support: Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes by providing supporting documentation and performing necessary journal entries
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on aged payables and other financial reports as needed.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2-3 year's experience in a full function AP role
  • Experience using Xero and /or Pronto (Desirable) - Training Provided
  • A good working knowledge on Ms Excel (Intermediary level desirable)
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • An appreciation of privacy, confidentiality, and compliance with laws, regulations, and standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
