We are seeking an IT Mainframe Environment Build Specialist to join our Enterprise Solutions and Technology business area.

As an IT Mainframe Environment Build Specialist, you will plan, coordinate and deliver detailed, technical or sensitive projects that impact on strategic or operational outcomes. You'll provide advice to technical specialists and business partners, and seek their cooperation in the provision and support of mainframe environments, package and promote preparation, problem solving, and issues management.

You will be a central contributor to mainframe environment provisioning and support across the development ecosystem. You'll provide mainframe package deployment support to development environments, prepare mainframe promotions for production deployment, proactively investigate and assist with environmental issues at the request of development teams, and provide expert mainframe technical advice as required. To facilitate these tasks, you may be required to provide on-call support out of hours on occasion.

You will assist with project management, operational and business planning, financial year forward planning, and assist with strategy planning by collaborating with business partners. Your team will be involved with modernisation, automation and continuous improvement to existing services ensuring the mainframe is ready for business at all advertised times.

This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Sydney CBD.
